These unique awards seek to recognize those college radio stations that have made outstanding efforts to connect with listeners on College Radio Day. All North American CRD participating stations are eligible to submit entries. The Station of the Year Award is now open to all CRD participating stations around the world (please note the written parts of the entries must be in English).

Spirit of College Radio Award - Best Community Outreach
This award recognizes college radio stations who engaged with their local community off campus as well as other organizations on campus to create programming and community-related events for College Radio Day. Winning stations will show evidence that they enlisted the support of organizations other than themselves to participate in College Radio Day.

Spirit of College Radio Award - Best On-Air Programming
This award recognizes college radio stations that specifically created special programming for the College Radio Day event or broadcast regular programming that was tied into the College Radio Day event. Winning stations will show evidence that this day was used to showcase their best programming and that special consideration and effort was demonstrated in planning the day's on-air broadcast.

Spirit of College Radio Award - Best Station Promotions
This award recognizes college radio stations that promoted College Radio Day with exciting and innovative promotional activities. Winning stations will show evidence of on-air promos and sweepers as well as photos and other documents that demonstrate that the station made considerable efforts to promote College Radio Day and make it a memorable event.

Spirit of College Radio Award - Adviser Of The Year
This award recognizes college radio station advisers (faculty/staff) who made extraordinary contributions to their station to help make College Radio Day a success at their station. Submissions for this category must be made by the student/s in support of their adviser, and must detail how the adviser went above and beyond the normal call of duty on College Radio Day.
Submission info: One MS Word/Powerpoint doc containing text, not to exceed 1 page. The adviser will be sent an engraved plaque - but the station will be featured on the TuneIn app and website.
Spirit of College Radio Grand Prize Award - Station of the Year
This very special award takes into consideration all of the work that stations have done for College Radio Day. Winning stations will demonstrate that they engaged with organizations and listeners on and off campus, had creative promotions and innovative programming, as well as a clearly defined mission for their station on CRD. They will also demonstrate professionalism and excellence in their College Radio Day broadcasts. THIS AWARD IS OPEN TO ALL CRD PARTICIPATING STATIONS WORLDWIDE.

SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES:
All stations entering these awards can submit their entries electronically. Entries are free and each station can enter each award category once. Please email award submissions to lori@collegeradioday.com by November 5, 2012.
Presentation of Awards & Judging:
The winners of The Spirit of College Radio Awards will be selected by the College Radio Day organization team at WPSC 88.7 FM, William Paterson University, New Jersey. As such WPSC will be ineligible for these awards. The judges' announcement of the winners will be no later than November 12, 2012. Award plaques will be mailed to the winning radio stations the week of December 1, 2012. The judges' decisions are final.
